Jewish Friend, Jesus Is the Messiah

SIXTY-NINE WEEKS TO THE MESSIAH

Let us study Gabriel's announcement to Daniel. (Dan.9:25) Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the anointed (Hebrew: "Messiah"; Greek: "Christ") one, the prince, shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks (a total of 69 weeks): it shall be built again, with street and moat, even in troublous times. As you know, the Hebrew word for week here is "shabua", meaning "a seven" of days or years. History has proven these weeks to be "sevens" of years, meaning each day of the week represents one year. I want to share with you two dates that prove that Jesus was the Messiah who came after these 69 weeks or 483 years. Then we can see when the seventieth week of the tribulation is.

There is great disagreement over which king it was that gave the "commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem" 483 years before the Messiah came. Of this there can be no doubt. The end of the 70 years of captivity that was prophesied by Jeremiah came in the first year of Cyrus when he freed the Jews to return and build the temple and city. (2Ch.36:22) Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of Jehovah by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and [put it] also in writing, saying, (23) Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath Jehovah, the God of heaven, given me; and he hath charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whosoever there is among you of all his people, Jehovah his God be with him, and let him go up (also seen in Ezra 1:1-4). You will notice that the "house" or temple was considered part of the city of Jerusalem. Some believe that it was only the temple and not the city that Cyrus commanded to build but scriptures refute that. (Isa.44:28) That saith of Cyrus, [He is] my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure, even saying of Jerusalem, She shall be built; and of the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid. (45:13)... he shall build my city, and he shall let my exiles go free... The great historian, Josephus, confirmed that it was Cyrus who commanded to rebuild Jerusalem, quoting a letter written by him to the governors that were in Syria:

"King Cyrus to Sisinnes and Sathrabuzzanes, sendeth greeting. I have given leave to as many of the Jews that dwell in my country as please to return to their own country, and to rebuild the city and to rebuild the temple of God at Jerusalem on the same place where it was before" (Ant. Bk. XI, Ch. 1, sec. I & 3).

From the time King Cyrus commanded the temple and Jerusalem rebuilt in 486 B.C. there were "seven weeks" or 49 years until the temple made with hands was built and then there was "threescore and two weeks" making a total of 69 weeks or 483 years "unto the anointed" temple was "built without hands" in 4 B.C. It was then that an angel of the Lord announced, "for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ (Greek: "anointed") the Lord" (Luk.2:11). The 486 B.C. and the 4 B.C. dates were taken from Bible Chronology by Ivan Panin, which is taken only from Bible dates and proven by Numerics. Our Lord Jesus was the only one who showed up on time and proved by His works to be the Christ or Messiah.

Some confusion has come in the fact that subsequent commands to rebuild the temple and city were made by Darius in Ezra 5:3-7 and Artaxerxes in Ezra 7:11-16 to fulfill Cyrus' initial command. (Ezr.6:14)... And they builded and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the decree of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia. Here is another interesting date that proves Jesus to be the "anointed" who came after another 69-week period. The commandment by Artaxerxes was commonly thought to have been in 457 B.C. (no Numeric date given). If we count from that date remembering that there is no year "0" between B.C. and A.D. we find that 69 weeks end in 27 A.D. This is the date which is also given in Panin's Bible Chronology for the beginning of Jesus' ministry when the scripture says He was 30 years old in Lk.3:23 and Hebrew tradition said a man could become a Rabbi. At this end of another 69 weeks Jesus was baptized by John and "anointed" with the Holy Spirit for ministry. This also is as Daniel foretold; the 69 weeks would be "unto the anointed one". At this time in 27 A.D. Jesus announced that he was the "anointed". "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he anointed me to preach good tidings ... And he began to say unto them, To-day hath this scripture been fulfilled in your ears" (Lk.4:18,21). The year of this anointed ("Messiah" or "Christ"), is set. (Luk.3:1) Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar... (2)... the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. (3) And he came into all the region round about the Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance unto remission of sins... (21) Now it came to pass, when all the people were baptized, that, Jesus also having been baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, (22) and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form, as a dove, upon him, and a voice came out of heaven, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. (23) And Jesus himself, when he began [to teach], was about thirty years of age. John was baptizing in the Jordan in the fifteenth year of Tiberius when Jesus was "anointed". This date is set at 27 A.D. by two lunar eclipses and Bible Numerics (Bible Chronology by Ivan Panin, page 225). With these two dates the Jews should have clearly known who the Messiah was. The apostate Christians should just as clearly know from the same text of His second coming after the seventieth week but it is just not that important to them either.

Jesus quoted Isaiah concerning His "anointed" earthly ministry. (Isa.61:1) The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me; because Jehovah hath anointed me... (2) to proclaim the year of Jehovah's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God... However, He only quoted half of the verse. (Luk.4:18) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he anointed me... (19) To proclaim the acceptable (or favorable) year of the Lord. The day of vengeance comes after the seventieth week.

My Discussion with a Jew about Messiah and Sacrifice

I began to receive political-type emails from a Jewish man in my inner ministry email inbox, which few know the address to. I started to kindly ask him to take me off his list since I didn't want this box cluttered with things that I would not read. Then The Lord stopped me and told me to use this occasion to share the Gospel with him and then if he didn't like my association he would just drop me from his list. I tried to use his own prophets to show him how the Messiah was to come. I have called this man "Harry". Here is our exchange.

Yours in Christ,
David Eells

David: Hello Harry, Have you met Jesus Christ, the Messiah? He is still into saving people from their sins and working miracles. God bless you to know Him. Your servant in Christ, David

Harry: Don't know him.

David: Hi Harry, Would you like to? He loves you and died as your Passover lamb so you could escape the eternal death angel. {Isaiah 53:1} Who hath believed our message? and to whom hath the arm of Jehovah been revealed? {53:2} For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. {53:3} He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not. {4} Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. {5} But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. {6} All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. {7} He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth. {8} By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who [among them] considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke [was due]? {9} And they made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death; although he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. {10} Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand. {11} He shall see of the travail of his soul, [and] shall be satisfied: by the knowledge of himself shall my righteous servant justify many; and he shall bear their iniquities. {12} Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Blessings David

Harry: I have a different faith and don't care. You wanna be a Jew? It's real. Harry

David: Harry, There is no sacrifice left for Jews except the one Isaiah and the prophets mention. He is the greatest Jew who ever lived and He was killed (sacrificed) by Jews just like the prophets. He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of those who believe in Him. The only two writings in the world that have a perfect numeric pattern in them proving they were written by God are the Old and New Testaments. You need to read the new. :o)

Since Christ, For the last 2000 years Jews have had no Temple, priests, or sacrifice to be justified by. ...Why did God take them away? So you would turn to the only sacrifice mentioned by the prophets for these days, the Lamb of God, Yeshua. God be with you, David

David: I met Him 35 years ago and my life has never been the same.

Harry: I re-met Moses this year. My life is better. Harry

David: Ok, Harry, But now you need to obey Moses who said, {Dt.18:15} Jehovah thy God will raise up unto thee a prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; {16} according to all that thou desiredst of Jehovah thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of Jehovah my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. {17} And Jehovah said unto me, They have well said that which they have spoken. {18} I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. {19} And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

Your forefathers did not listen to that prophet who was and is the Messiah and he has required it of your people for 2000 years of chastening.

That Moses required a sacrifice which you don't have. Read Moses and See. Religion is as dead as always being founded on the traditions of men instead of the Word. The same type men who killed the prophets. As Solomon said, The things that have been shall be and the things that have been done shall be done.

Blessings to you in Yeshua's name,

David

Harry: Oh stop evangelizing. I don't do it to you and it's repulsive.

David: Harry, OK, but you started e-mailing me and it's for your life that I did it. Blessings, David

Harry: No it's not. It's for YOUR life.

David: Harry, The prophet Jeremiah said that God would make a New Covenant that was not like the one He made with Moses and your forefathers. {Jer.31:31} Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: {32} not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was a husband unto them, saith Jehovah. {33} But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Jehovah: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people: {34} and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Jehovah: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more. Notice that because your forefathers broke the covenant that God did not continue it but made a new one in which He put His desires in their heart naturally. The Prophet and Messiah Moses spoke about came to bring that covenant. God knew they would reject it and kill the Messiah completing the sacrifice with His own blood. Only a remnant of Israel accepted the covenant at that time.

God then spoke through other prophets like Hosea that He would give the covenant to those who were not His people who would appreciate it. {Hos.1:10} Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass that, in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people (Gentiles), it shall be said unto them, [Ye are] the sons of the living God. ...{2:23} And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them that were not my people (Gentiles), Thou art my people; and they shall say, [Thou art] my God. To this Isaiah agreed saying: {Isa.65:1} I am inquired of by them that asked not [for me]; I am found of them that sought me not (Gentiles): I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name (Gentiles). {2} I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people (Israel), that walk in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts; {3} a people that provoke me to my face continually... It was Jewish prophets who wrote the New Covenant and told how your forefathers were broken off because of unbelief in their Messiah/sacrifice and the Gentile believers were grafted in because of faith in Him. Then they also spoke of a remnant of your people who would believe in these days and be saved. {Romans 11:17} But if some of the branches were broken off (Israel), and thou, being a wild olive (Gentile Church), wast grafted in among them, and didst become partaker with them of the root of the fatness of the olive tree; {18} glory not over the branches: but if thou gloriest, it is not thou that bearest the root, but the root thee. {19} Thou wilt say then, Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. {20} Well; by their unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by thy faith. Be not highminded, but fear: {21} for if God spared not the natural branches, neither will he spare thee. {22} Behold then the goodness and severity of God: toward them that fell, severity; but toward thee, God's goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. {23} And they also, if they continue not in their unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again. {24} For if thou wast cut out of that which is by nature a wild olive tree, and wast grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree; how much more shall these, which are the natural [branches], be grafted into their own olive tree? {25} For I would not, brethren, have you ignorant of this mystery, lest ye be wise in your own conceits, that a hardening in part hath befallen Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in; {26} and so all Israel shall be saved: even as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer; He shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: {27} And this is my covenant unto them, When I shall take away their sins. Notice that "all Israel" now is both Jew and Gentile who believe in the Messiah/sacrifice. I have received this experience of being washed and covered in the blood of the Passover Lamb and now I wish it for you. Yeshua died for you and He will graft you into the new covenant that your own prophets spoke of. He will give you a miraculous new life if you will believe your own prophets who spoke in His name.

God bless you,

David
