Healed Tooth

Brent Gearhart - 12/06/2010

I have been so blessed by listening to the others' testimonies and the teachings here at UBM. Praise the Lord for all He is doing in everyone's lives.

About a year-and-a-half ago, I was having a sore tooth while brushing my teeth. So I went to the dentist and he told me that I had an open nerve at the root of my tooth. This was caused by brushing downward too hard, he said. He wanted to put fluoride on it to make it not so sensitive. I did not want any poison in my mouth and I asked if there was anything else he could do besides put fluoride on it? He said the only other option would be to have another dentist take some gum from another area of my mouth and patch it on the spot that was open. I declined this option also.

So I started reading testimonies on the UBM site and I was very encouraged and wanted to exercise my faith to have the Lord heal my tooth. So, as I would brush my teeth, I would at first try to avoid the open nerve. Then I believe I heard the Lord tell me not to baby the tooth but to just treat it like it was normal tooth, so I did.

As time went on and I continued to brush on that open nerve and it would hurt, I would just lift my other hand up to the Lord and look upward, even though it hurt pretty badly. Then, as more time went on, it would only hurt at certain times and not all the time. Then, as I continued to have faith for this healing, it got less and less painful to brush there. It has been about three to four weeks now since I have not felt any pain at all and I purposely brush on this spot where the open nerve was, smiling in the mirror the whole time.

Praise the Lord for healing my tooth. God bless you, brethren.
