God Corrects Those Who Say, "Every Vision Faileth"

David Eells - 11/15/2011

We are told, (1Co.14:29) And let the prophets speak by two or three and let the others discern. But if a revelation be made to another sitting by, let the first keep silent. So we must let the prophets speak. We have a kind of an unusual ministry here. Prophecy can come forth in many ways: dreams and visions and words of knowledge; words of wisdom; and prophetic utterances. Now, you can go into some of the churches around and if they're a little nervous about prophecy like some people are nervous about dreams, the pastor might say, Well, let me hear it first before you give it. But the Bible says let the prophets speak and we do that in our ministry. If there's any possibility of a prophecy or dream or vision being truthful, we let them speak online or broadcast because it says let the others discern. So who's going to discern it? You out there reading or listening would discern it. And, of course, we get feedback sometimes. Some people get discernment of these things one way or the other and that's great. Especially if we already have a confirmation dream, vision, prophecy, whatever, then we let it go out because Joseph said that when a dream is doubled, it means it's surely going to come to pass. That means it's from God. It doesn't matter what men say. The bible says it's from God. So the thing is, we let these be shared in our body which is of course stretched out over a pretty good part of the world here. Then we take what discernment comes and/or we wait and see.

Of course, critical people say, Okay, you shared this and it didn't come to pass, like we have control over that. No, we just have authority to let the prophets speak. We don't have authority to shut them up. I suppose these critical people would shut them up as they have tried to do before. If somebody comes back later and says, Oh, they are false prophecies because nothing happened and that's the only discernment they give us, that's not what the Word is asking for. We don't need any hindsight prophets. If he can't come forward and say this is true, this is false, when the prophecy is given, what good is it? Anybody can be a hindsight prophet. Little do they know they're not making themselves great by doing that. Their motive many times is selfish ambition. By trying to make themselves great at others' expense, they try to gain disciples and then all they can do is make legalistic critics out of them. I sometimes also share a possibility of how this could be fulfilled with the knowledge of other dreams and visions we've been given and also what is going on in the world. This is not as critical people would call predictions or foretelling, and they're not prophesying. In fact, you can't find me predicting or prophesying. I might even share a thought with you or somebody might ask me, Well, when do you think that might happen? I might say, It could happen this year or it could happen next year, but that's not a prediction or a prophecy and anyone who can read knows that.

Also, a dreamer is never judged in the New Testament as if they were an Old Testament prophet. They are not prophets. They are not judged but the dream is judged as to whether it is from God or not, as in 1 Corinthians 14. This cannot be judged as an Old Testament prophecy because many times dreams come as warnings so that you know what to pray against so that they don't come to pass. We are told by God that when He warns and people repent, He will not judge. The wicked would judge these warnings and warners to take out this gift which destroys the work of the devil.

Another point is, why do we do this? What's the importance of this? The devil does not like dreams and visions. He will do whatever he can do through his vessels to get rid of them because they have stopped him from doing much evil. We have the Law of First Mention in the New Testament. In the first two chapters there are five dreams that speak wisdom, direction, warning, prophecy -- these things that were necessary to save life, to change directions and to keep one from evil. That's extremely important. Now, the devil doesn't like that because it stops him from being able to do what he wants to do. Now, we can see that very plainly in Job 33. Let me just share a few verses here. (Job33:14) For God speaketh once, yea, twice, though man regardeth it not. We shouldn't be one of those men who regards it not or belittles it. That's not what we are told to do in the scriptures and we should obey what the scriptures have to stay and let the critics do what they want. (15) In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men and slumbering upon the bed, then he openeth the ears of men and sealeth their instruction. So this is what dreams and visions are for: to give us instruction. If you belittle God's instruction, you're working for the devil. The Lord Himself said that His children would have dreams and visions. And that's not to say that they're useless; that's to say, I've given you a gift from heaven. So anybody who belittles them because they don't like them or because they correct their actions or because they want to attack me, that's their problem.

(17) That he may withdraw man from his purpose and hide pride from man ... So if you're coming against pride or correcting evildoers with dreams and visions, then of course they wouldn't like that. ... And to withdraw man from his purpose means that many men have their own self-will agenda and they want to go this way or that way and God says, No, here are My instructions, as it says in verse 16: Then he openeth the ears of men, And sealeth their instruction... Why? (18) To keep back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword. That's pretty important, wouldn't you say? Wouldn't the devil like to belittle dreams and visions so you ignore them and he can destroy you? You know, he doesn't want any resistance. We have seen many times when our ministry has been attacked by factious people that we were saved by dreams and visions that we didn't ask for at all; they just started flooding in. Who does that? God does that. These revelations identify their works and their evil and warn them of what is to come on them because of it. These dreams and visions have all been true and came to pass because these men don't listen and the judgments come on them. That's why God laments in verse 14, Men regardeth it not.

In Ezekiel 12, presumptuous people said that all dreams and visions had failed. But God corrected them. (Eze.12:21) And the word of the Lord came unto me saying, Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged and every vision faileth? He is correcting those who work for the devil to cast down revelations from God. Anybody who says, Okay, this is far enough; this dream should have been fulfilled by now and it hasn't been, so it's a failed dream, is an arrogant, presumptuous person; they say that God can't fulfill that dream because they have imposed a deadline on it. They are playing God. They have no authority to impose a date. They are the date-setters. Dreams quite often take years. When the wise men first saw the star in the east of "he that is born King of the Jews", they came. And they probably arrived almost two years later, for Jesus was then called a "young child" and Herod killed the children two years old and under. So they had a sign in the stars that they didn't get to see in person for almost two years. But there were shepherds in the field who got the revelation from an angel the night of the birth and they went immediately to see Jesus. So you can have revelations that are good at the moment that they're given and others are signs that are something to come later on.

What man can say the vision faileth? God has something to say about this: (23) Tell them, therefore, Thus saith the Lord, I will make this proverb to cease. The Lord says he doesn't like the idea that men say that every vision faileth. So He says, And they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel. But say unto them, The days are at hand and the fulfillment of every vision. The person who says the visions have failed is wrong because here He says there's a fulfillment of every vision. And He is going to make these people look foolish because He is going to make these dreams and visions come to pass when, The days are at hand. The fulfillment of every vision... When are the days at hand when the visions will all be fulfilled? The text of chapter 12 speaks of the time when the beast of Babylon was bringing the people of God into captivity in their tribulation. So we are now coming to the time of fulfillment and the same foolish people are saying every vision faileth. How could every vision be fulfilled? Because He says next there shall be no more any false vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel. Notice that God is saying the time will come when the visions within the house of Israel will be fulfilled because they will be correct! When could that time be? When the series of events these visions speak of leading up to and including the tribulation are coming there will be no more delays.

I tell you, I would like to see that every dream that we share is a perfect dream but Father says we prophesy in part until that which is perfect has come. Many of the dreams are very good but we do get some that we don't share because we don't feel there can be any validity to them. And this is not to say that some of you have sent dreams in that we feel there's no validity to; sometimes we don't share them because it's not the right time or God just restrains us at that particular time. But anyway, Father goes on: (25) For I am the Lord: I will speak and the word that I shall speak shall be performed and it shall be no more deferred ... What does "deferred" mean? Delayed. It shall be no more delayed. Notice that the only thing that changed over the years about the dream, vision, prophecy, word of knowledge, etc. was that the timing, if there was any, had been delayed but would no longer be when the fullness of time has come. So the person who says that the visions failed is wrong because God said it was just delayed and that it is going to be fulfilled. The rest of the verse says, For in your days, oh rebellious house, will I speak the word and will perform it, says the Lord. So that's what the word of the Lord says. Now, if people say that I am predicting or prophesying when I share your dreams, that's just slander. You know, I saw one person who pulled up an audio that I had in the past that said, Well, I think the tribulation could come before ... Well, I can think what I want but that is not prophesying. These same critical people think what they want and they say it, too. However, they feel like others don't have the same right. I shared what the stellar software showed clearly was the timing of Virgo and the Man-child birth and they claim it was me predicting.

One day after almost seven years of waiting for dreams and visions to be fulfilled that my family would be moving to Florida, I was complaining to the Lord. I felt the Lord tell me to turn on the TV, which is a rarity. Immediately, a preacher said, "They that wait upon the Lord". I went to the little bread box with the scripture cards in it and I pulled one out and here's what it said: (I'm going to share the text around it, too.) (Hab.2:1) I will stand upon my watch and set upon the tower and look forth to see what he will speak with me and what I shall answer concerning my complaint. Wow! I had shared my complaint with the Lord, too. (2) And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision. Now this part was on the little card: Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run that readeth it; for the vision is yet for the appointed time. It hasteth toward the end. It shall not lie. Though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come. It will not delay. Well, you know what? Before the next year was over, we moved. So that was the word of the Lord to me very specifically that He gave me and actually I stuck that card back in the box and I walked away. And my wife, Mary, came up to me and said, "Well, what did you get?" I told her the verse. I walked over to the box and I reached down and I just grabbed in the middle of the box and pulled out a card and stuck it in front of her face and it was the same card. I wasn't picking through the cards. I just reached over and grabbed one. So that was about seven years after I got the revelations I would move there.

Why does God rarely ever fulfill prophecy, dreams and visions right away? Because nobody would get warned if it happened that way. As we put these things on the site, the warning goes out and out and many, many hundreds of thousands or more people get to look at these things and they are warned and they pass them along to other people and they are warned. That's the reason that a prophecy, dream, vision, word of knowledge, word of wisdom is more valuable if it's not fulfilled immediately. Now, of course, we're running out of time and we discovered what he just got through saying there in Ezekiel 12 that the time is going to come when he's going to speak and it's going to happen right then because we're running out of time. Of course, it's of value to the people who are right there at the time, but it's not of value to anybody else out there in the periphery of Christianity. So God's pure wisdom gives the prophetic word time to get out. Praise the Lord.
