Bladder Infection Healed

Linda Moore - 08/30/2007

A few years ago, I (Linda Moore) had a bladder infection while we were still attending a local church. My symptoms included severe back pain, burning and pressure. I tried home remedies and even went to the local health food and herbs store and bought something from the owner. There was no improvement; in fact, it got worse.

I had prayed for healing but finally broke down and went to the doctor. He gave me some antibiotics and a few days later the symptoms cleared up. But recently it came back -- the pain, burning, pressure -- and it made me have to stoop over to get any comfort and walking really aggravated it.

This time, after reading Sovereign God, and the desire to grow in faith, I purposed to trust God and give a good confession: (Romans 10:10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Salvation from the curse which includes affliction.) Matthew 10:32: Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Not long ago, the Lord gave me greater understanding about patience (Gal. 5:22, one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit) and what it means to really wait for God to do something. Our flesh is always in a hurry, wants things now, is very impatient! When I first felt the symptoms, I began to walk in faith for the healing and my husband Rory felt a witness that I was healed. I even began to feel better and confessed it was done. The next day, however, the symptoms came back and I became upset and went to God asking Him WHY He was putting me through this and WHAT did I have to do?! I was also wondering how long I was going to have to WAIT for something to happen. I was very frustrated. I definitely was not going to the doctor but I had things to do and I couldn't physically get them done. I thought, something has to happen here and "Lord, You are the One Who has to do it!"

The Lord moved me to ask my husband Rory, who is my spiritual head, according to 1Cor. 11:3, to pray for me. Together we prayed in agreement with the scriptures: "if two of you shall agree as touching one thing, it shall be done by my father which is in heaven"; and we asked God to give us "the prayer of faith shall save the sick..."

That evening our sons were asking about me not feeling well so I explained why. The older boy asked questions about the urinary tract infection -- what causes it and what cures it. About two or three times he insistently said that I should go to the doctor and that he would go if it happened to him. He then asked me, "What are you doing about it?"

There, my flesh went on the altar and I was faced with the test of either NOT CONFESSING the Word of God "By His stripes we WERE healed" (1Peter 2:24) or that I WAS healed.

In fact, I really struggled in my mind (flesh) and I told my son that I was drinking lots of water, eating better, etc. and then I confessed that I didn't want to go to the doctor but was praying and believing in faith that God had healed me. He said, "Well, if you don't go to the doctor, then what else is there to do?"

I ended by saying, "If everything is taken away (doctors, medications, etc.) what will you have to go to? God will be the One standing there. He is the only One to depend on. He's all you need".

And right there God used my son to get me to "hold fast the confession of our faith that it waiver not" and to stand fast in the confession of faith. In doing so, the Lord Jesus kept His word: "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven". The Lord Jesus brought my confession of faith in His healing before the Father. The next morning I awoke with the manifestation of complete healing.

Romans 5:3: And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope... (8:25): But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

I now know why I went through this experience. The Lord was behind it all. He has taught me a powerful lesson on what it means to hold on to the confession of my faith.
