Leg Cramps

Chris Mooey - 01/04/2005

Dear friends,

This morning, a friend of mine was going to stop by at 7am for prayer and encouragement, as she was feeling that all in her personal and professional life was falling apart. At 6:30, my daughter Mooey woke up suffering from leg cramps. I told the Lord I couldn't minister to Judy and Mooey at the same time and asked Him to intervene. I rebuked the pain from her body in Jesus' name and then Moo and I recited Psalm 144 together. By the end of it, she said the pain was almost gone. It was 6:45 and I had to go to the bathroom, so I told her to speak God's Word over it one more time and I'd be back to pray with her in a few minutes. As I washed my face, I decided I'd have to send my friend away if Mooey was still in pain when she arrived. After a few minutes, all was quiet in Mooey's room. When I went in, she was lying peacefully next to her little sister Joy. I said "Mooey, isn't God good?!" and she then told me what happened. She had recited Psalm 144 again and then told the pain it didn't belong in her body and it must go in Jesus' name. Mooey said it all went away right then.

If an 8-year old can believe God's Word and take authority over the devil and win, can't we do the same?

I was now equipped with a fresh testimony of God's power to share with my friend when she arrived. I believe God orchestrated all that so that Judy could be blessed and build up her faith. Our Heavenly Father loves us... "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose". (Romans 8:28).
